Malta's young sailors came all gold and silver hanging around their necks from the Monaco GSSE. Borg brothers, Benji and Sean, and Ella Fleri Soler made us feel proud to be Maltese.

Credit goes, primarily, to Benji who added his second gold following the one he gained in Malta in 2003.

His younger, tenacious brother Sean should also be commended for his golden determination for more success and the same goes for Fleri Soler. With her silver medal she made sailing such a powerful local sport.

Now, all authorities that matter should note the high significance of these achievements once and for all.

I do congratulate the Malta Young Sailors Club and coaches Jean Paul Fleri Soler and Mario Aquilina for sheer determination and believing in the extremely high level of local talent. Once again, they were the catalysts behind more sailing success for our country.

Whenever the opportunity arises for international competition, our sailors always rise to the occasion with positive results whether it is the young ones or, for that matter, the seasoned skippers.

I do sincerely believe that it is high time that the sailing fraternity in Malta will finally be awarded with proper and decent recognition and give 'Sailing Caesar' what is due to 'Sailing Caesar' without any longer delays or excuses.
