Two days ago I was MSN chatting with my nephew's daughter who lives in Tarxien and I expressed my wish to have the Mater Dei hospital re-named L-isptar San Gorg Preca. She too was of the same opinion but thought it was now too late, adding "We should have a referendum".

I replied that "if enough people write to The Times expressing their views something is bound to happen". Now that Joseph Zammit of Iklin. (June 7) has the same view, let's get the petition rolling.

I have an idea that Lawrence Dimech from Sydney, Australia (May 31) has no idea what he started.
