When I wrote my original letter (Limbo In Balzan, May 21) I merely wanted a simple answer to a simple question. Is it discrimination or not against the child to baptise him in private and not with his peers merely as a result of his parents' civil marriage?
That question was not answered.
Instead, I got a stream of pontificating, condescending replies (even using the royal "we") about the finer catechetical points of baptism... including offers of instruction. Well at 65, I must confess I have better things to do with my time and I feel I must decline the offer.
Anyway, by now, we must have bored the patient Times readers' pants off and they would appreciate it if we desist.
