Mellieha home for the elderly starts taking concrete shape
The Prime Minister on Saturday laid the foundation stone of a home for the elderly in Mellieha.
The home is a public private partnership with Care Malta Mellieha Ltd, which will manage it. The home has been designed by Frank Muscat and construction work started in April. It is due to welcome its first residents next year.
The home will have both elderly persons and those with disability as residents. It will also provide various community services, including a clinic and a day centre for the elderly.
