The annual show of Yada's College of Jazz Dance, entitled Dance Issues, will focus on various issues with the first act entitled Save the Planet and featuring junior dancers.
The act is based on a fictional story about a daughter and her father as they visit, on a travel machine, various countries that are being affected by global warming.
For the second act, entitled Books, the choreographers have taken their inspiration from literature.
The direction is by Felix Busuttil and Justin Roy Barker, artistic directors of the college. The production, to be held on June 30 at the Mediterranean Conference Centre, in Valletta, will also feature choreography by Alison Bird, Annemarie Busuttil, Claire Cassola, Audrey Ellul Sullivan, Daniela Farrugia Randon, Daron Galea, Lara Lanfranco, Fiona Mckeown, Kristina Schranz and Ingrid Spiteri.
Booking opens on June 25 at the Mediterranean Conference Centre between 5 and 7 p.m. (tel. 2559 5751 / bookings@mcc.com.mt).
