• Ghasri marks the feast of Christ the Saviour today with a Pontifical concelebrated Mass led by Bishop Mario Grech at Ghasri church, with the participation of the Lauda Sion choir, at 8.30 a.m.

At 6.30 p.m., vicar general of the Gozo Diocese, archdeacon Mgr Giovanni Bosco Gauci, leads a solemn concelebration with the participation of the Stella Maris Orchestra.

A procession with the titular statue of Christ the Saviour, led by Mgr Salv Debrincat, accompanied by the La Stella band, starts at 8 p.m. An evening of music starts on Saviour Square at 10.15.

• Minister Giovanna Debono inaugurates the Gozo Motor Show at Villa Rundle gardens, Victoria, this morning at 9.30. Featuring in the show are representatives of the Gozo Auto dealer, Old Motor Club, motorcycle dealers, remote controlled model cars and family entertainment including a song festival and DJ. Entrance is free. The show is open from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m.

• Ghajnsielem marks the feast of St Anthony of Padua today with a Pontifical Mass, led by Bishop Grech at 11 a.m. at the Franciscan Fathers' church. Solemn vespers, followed by Mass said by Provincial Minister Fr Paul Galea, OFM, will be held at 6 p.m.

The procession with the statue of St Anthony, accompanied by the St Joseph Band, starts at 7.45 p.m. The Mnarja Band will perform on the church parvis.

• The Xaghra Vocational Centre is staging Aghtini L-Ghajnuna, a three-act drama by Lino Grech on the life of St George Preca, under the direction of Carmel Bajada, at the Xaghra youth centre today at 6 p.m. Tickets are available from the vocational centre (tel. 9942-0879).

• On the occasion of the solemn feast of the Heart of Jesus on Friday, Bishop Grech will lead an hour of prayer with parish priests of the Gozo diocese, at Fontana parish church at 5 p.m.

• The Padre Pio Prayer Group is holding a prayer meeting at the Capuchin Friars' Sanctuary of Our Lady of Graces, Victoria, on Friday at 6.30 p.m. The meeting will begin with the recitation of the Rosary, followed by Mass at 7 p.m.
