HSBC'S summer sale is on with a range of offers and discounts.
Until August 31, HSBC customers will benefit from a three-month moratorium on interest and capital and a one per cent discount on interest rates on new Flexicredit personal loans; a 50 per cent discount on processing fees and a three-month moratorium on interest and capital on new home loans and Maxicredit home equity loans; no interest for six months from issue date on all purchase transactions and no fees for the first year on new HSBC Classic credit cards; and a fee-free Gold VISA supplementary card for the first year.
All customers who take out any of these products will automatically qualify for the summer sale competition and be in with the chance to win one of ten prizes. The first prize is a brand new Fiat Grande Punto.
Customers taking financial planning advice which leads to a purchase of an HSBC product will also qualify.
Ten customers will eventually make it to the final where they will take part in a quiz where final placings will be established according to the points gained.
The first-placed contestant will win the Fiat Grande Punto. The second-placed contestant will win a 42" Plasma TV, while the third-placed wins a laptop computer. Fourth and fifth runners-up will each go away with a home entertainment sound system. Finally, the remaining five contestants will each win a mobile phone.
Loans are subject to final approval from the local branch. The typical APR on a debit limit of Lm300 after the first six months is 14.69 per cent. Government levy is to be met by customers.
