Golden Wedding
Mr ALEX L. PACE and Miss MARIE LOUISE ZAMMIT LUPI
The marriage took place on June 9, 1957, at Stella Maris parish church, Sliema. Thank you for all you do for us. With all our love and best wishes from your children and in-laws, Nicky and Jacqui, Melanie and Anthony, Jonathan and Liz and your beloved grandchildren Tara, Jamie, Debbie, Matthew and Christopher. Congratulations to both of you.
Obituary
AGIUS. On June 7, at St Luke's Hospital, RITA, aged 80, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her daughter Sylvia and her husband Natalino Bartolo, her granddaughters Daniela and Analise, her sisters, her brother, her in-laws, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.
The funeral leaves St Luke's Hospital today at 2.15 p.m. for Our Lady of Sorrows parish church, St Paul's Bay, where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 3 p.m., followed by interment at Burmarrad cemetery.
Lord, grant her eternal rest.
BUTTIGIEG. On June 7, JOSEPH JAMES of Zabbar, aged 53, son of the late Franz and Jessica, née Scorey, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his wife Rose, his children Gareth, Lara and Lynsey, their fiancés, his brothers Michael and Trevor, their respective spouses, parents-in-law, in-laws and their respective spouses, nephews, nieces, other relatives and friends.
The funeral leaves St Luke's Hospital today at 2.30 p.m. for St Anne parish church, Marsascala, where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 3 p.m., followed by interment in the family grave at St Lawrence Cemetery, Vittoriosa. No flowers by request but donations to the Hospice Movement will be greatly appreciated.

CHIRCOP. On June 8, at St Luke's Hospital, RAYMOND, aged 70, passed away peacefully, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his wife Maria née Abela, his sons Massimo and his wife Adriana, Dario and his wife Rita, Aldo and his wife Maria Victoria, his grandchildren Nicole, Liane, Claudio and Jean, his brother Louis, his sister Agnes, his nephews and nieces, his in-laws, other relatives and friends. - R.I.P. The funeral leaves St Luke's Hospital tomorrow at 8.30 a.m. for Santa Maria Addolorata chapel, where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 9 a.m. followed by interment.
GRECH CUMBO. On June 7, RAYMOND, aged 51, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loved ones and comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his beloved wife Rita née Zammit, his children Daphne and Suzanne, his mother Jeanne, his sisters Rita, Claire, Monika and their families, his in-laws George and Lucia, Franca Antoine and their families many relatives and friends.
The funeral leaves Sir Paul Boffa hospital today at 8.45 a.m. for St Julians parish church, where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 9.15 a.m. followed by interment in the family chapel at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to St Patrick's (Salesians) Sliema would be appreciated. The family regret they are unable to receive visitors.

Summer Course In Spoken Chinese
The China Cultural Centre will run a short course in spoken Chinese between July and early August.
The course will consist of an easy and accessible approach to Chinese conversation and is open to both beginners and to those who have already got some basic knowledge of the language.
The course will consist of 10 sessions on Tuesdays and Thursdays between July 3 to August 2, both days included.
There are two options: Either morning lessons between 10 and 11.30 a.m. or evening lessons between 6.15 and 7.45 p.m.

Prayer Meeting
An evening of prayer for peace and the New Evangelisation of the World will be at the Church of Our Lady of tal-Herba, Birkirkara on June 20 at 6 p.m.
There will be celebration of Mass followed by 20 minutes adoration.
Eden Foundation Barbecue
The Eden Foundation will hold its annual backyard barbecue in the grounds of De La Salle College, Vittoriosa on June 16 at 7.30 p.m.
Entertainment will be provided by Zoo, Freddie Portelli, Klinsmann Coleiro and Mario Mizzi among others.
Tickets cost Lm5 while children enter for Lm2.50.
