The reliquary holding blood of St Gorg Preca returned to Malta yesterday at 3.45 p.m. after being taken to a number of Gozo parishes in Gozo.

A procession with the reliquary was held late yesterday afternoon from the church of Our Lady of Victory, in Valletta, to St John's Co-Cathedral where vespers were sung.

The reliquary was handed over to Archbishop Paul Cremona by Gozo Bishop Mario Grech.

The reliquary will remain at the Co-Cathedral for veneration until 6 p.m. today.

Then at 7 p.m. it will be transported to the Granaries, in Floriana, where Mass will be said by Mgr Cremona at 7.30 p.m.

The reliquary will then be taken to the MUSEUM chapel in Blata l-Bajda.

The relic will finally be taken to the Hamrun parish where it will remain.
