A Libyan man has been cleared of making use of a forged visa on his passport after a magistrate ruled that the prosecution had failed to prove that he was aware that the document was forged.

Magistrate Consuelo Scerri Herrera cleared Iakob Nori, 30, of the charges brought against him after ruling that it had not been proven that he knew that the visa was forged.

Police Inspector Edel Mary Camilleri prosecuted.
