A bus driver who on Wednesday was remanded in custody after being charged with drug trafficking yesterday lost his bus drivers' licence, the Malta Transport Authority said.

Nicholas Anthony Fenech, 33, of Senglea, was accused of being in possession of heroin, cocaine, ecstasy tablets and cannabis in quantities denoting they were not for his personal use.

Police Inspector Dennis Theuma, who prosecuted, said the accused had some cocaine and heroin, 96 ecstasy tablets and 130 grammes of cannabis.
