For nine consecutive years, the Malta Fashion Awards have sought to honour those who have worked hard to promote the fashion industry. This year was no exception. Set in the grand hall of the Mediterranean Conference Centre, and aired on television last week, the event by Unique Promotions under the direction of Adrian Mizzi, presented seven awards for different categories.

Stephanie Hodgkins and David Camenzuli won the Female and Male Model awards; Shasha won the Make-Up Artist Award, while Brian Grech won the Photographer Award. Christine Pillow won the Female Photomodel Award, while Mark Stafrace and Mario Borg (Double M) won the Hairstylist Award. The Best Advertising Campaign Award was won by Things.

The other highlights of the Malta Fashion Awards, were a variety of artistic presentations, including body art and hairstyle shows with beautiful costumes and spectcular choreography, fashion shows, as well as entertainment by top local singers Ira Losco, Scar, Klinsmann Coleiro, Christabelle and Malcolm Pisani. Local designers presented their collections: Dreams by George Muscat, Natash by Natasha Coyne, Mad Mat Couture and Amour by Ernest Camilleri.
