The European Insitute of Education (EIE) has renewed its collaboration with Union Haddiema Maghqudin (UHM) as part of its 'Knowledge for all' campaign with a second donation of management books after the first one three years ago.
The institute believes that unions have an important role in the country's economy and contribute to the well-being of all levels of workers. The EIE seeks to support such organisations to offer the best service to society.
Antonello Cappitta, managing director of EIE, said: "EIE is expanding its collaboration networks which are bearing fruit in providing better services to our students.
"This book donation renews the links between UHM and EIE, which started about three years ago through another book donation. The UHM offers a sterling service to workers and EIE appreciates its role in collective agreements to stimulate workers continue their intellectual development and thus offer better service within their organisations."
On the other hand, Gejtu Vella, UHM secretary general, said: "The UHM appreciates EIE's role in offering alternative flexible possibilities, especially through distance learning courses to workers who would like to further their studies without quitting their jobs.
"Moreover, the union's library is extensively used by members to further their studies and do necessary research. This book donation would continue to enrich our resources offered to workers who want to continue develop their skills."
