The sound of children having a ball will be prevalent this summer as they play with puppets, paint, dance and sing to their hearts' content at the Creative Energy Kids' Club.
Held at the Gharghur Primary School, the club was set up with the aim of encouraging children between the ages of three and 11 to take part in as many creative activities as possible in a relaxed, enjoyable and stimulating environment.
The children are given the opportunity to express and implement their own ideas through a creative process.
The club is run by husband-and-wife team Philip and Simone Stilon who are both qualified teachers. Activities include arts and crafts, water games, sports, pottery, drama, dance, music, cookery and puppetry.
This year, the seven-week programme will take place on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from July 16 to September 7 from 9 a.m. to 12.45 p.m., with a break from August 13 to 17.
In October, the Creative Energy Kids' Winter Club will be launched at the Ibragg Parish Church for children aged between five and 11. More details about both the summer and winter club may be obtained by calling 2138 5497 or 9989 1791/2 or e-mail pstilon@maltanet.net
