The embellishment of Pjazza Santa Marija in the village of Qrendi has been going on for months.

The square is being embellished with new paving. One would have thought that such paving would lead to making the area (including the square and the narrow streets leading to it) a pedestrian area. Apparently this is not to be. What a pity! The works are still going on and one can see cars and trucks parked in the square, damaging the paving and dirtying it with motor oil.
