For the sake of clarification, the trench work referred to by Jonathan De Maria is not one pertaining to works carried out by the Valletta local council or by the Water Services Corporation but by Enemalta Corporation which is solely responsible for the state of affairs. Notwithstanding all this, the council has done its utmost and we keep on doing so to see that the corporation and its contractor take the necessary provisions of protecting third party health and safety.
