For how long will would-be travellers, who opt for the inter-island air service, be taken for a ride?
Pity that the De Havilland aircraft that made the long trip from western Canada (Vancouver) to Malta will soon be without its wheels. Had the Gozo side been blessed with some more metres of tarmac, this plane would have been sufficient to service the much-needed air link without the hassle of splashing to and fro between the islands adding more problems for the passengers.
It would have been more convenient for the plane to fly the point-to-point trip, with the probability of flying more often, weather wise.
