Head chef for new hotel

Joseph Xuereb has been appointed executive head chef at The Palace, Sliema.

Mr Xuereb has worked in five-star hotels in Malta and abroad. These include L'Horizon Hotel in Jersey and the Savoy Hotel and Selfridges in London.

The new executive head chef will be assuming control of The Palace's three quality restaurants - the Tabloid, TemptAsian lounge and The Talk of Town Café.

The hotel's main restaurant, the Tabloid, will be serving a selection of five-star upgrade buffets, set menus and à la carte. It will cater for breakfast, lunch and dinner as well as functions.

The other restaurant/lounge, TemptAsian, will be bringing together a fusion of Japanese, Chinese and Thai including tapanades, sushi and sashimi.

The Talk of Town is planned as a bistro/café serving grills and snacks.
