Three men were held by soldiers from the 1st Regiment's Gozo Troop after they allegedly threw drugs out of their car as they approached a vehicle check point in Victoria on Sunday night.

The AFM said the three occupants were observed disposing of some objects through the front passenger window.

It was later ascertained that the objects included a chunk of cannabis resin, the AFM said.

All three men are from Xaghra, aged around 28. They were handed over to the police at Victoria.

Another young man aged 19 of Sannat was detained after he was caught driving without a valid driving licence, the AFM said.
