The sacrament of baptism (2)

Silvan Mifsud's long extract from the document of the Vatican's Congregation for the Doctrine of Faith and Jacqueline Calleja's well-worn clichés about "supermarket Catholics" (May 24) further strengthen my point (May 21) that was, namely, that the Church treats innocent day-old offspring of parents "living in sin" differently from their peers, which is discrimination by any other name. That was my point!

Indeed, according to Mr Mifsud, and I bow to his superior doctrinal knowledge, the Church can go as far as banning this newly born baby from joining the Holy Roman Catholic Apostolic Church by denying him/her baptism as a consequence of the parents' state of sin.

I feel I can rest my case.
