Diane Xuereb participated in a Euro-Mediterranean training course for multipliers active in human rights education with young people in South East Europe and in the Euro-Mediterranean co-operation context.

The training course was organised by the Council of Europe in co-operation with the Anna Lindh Foundation at the European Youth Centre of Budapest between April 16 and 22. It aimed to promote the development of human rights education and intercultural dialogue with young people and explore the situation and conditions for human rights education in the broader Euro-Mediterranean framework, particularly South East Europe.

It was conducted by trainers from Italy, Lebanon, Belgium and Turkey. Various workshops and practical exercises were organised to elicit discussion and teamwork among the participants.

The course was attended by about 30 participants from various Euro-Mediterranean countries besides Malta.
