Re/Max launches online training
It is not often that real estate agents have the time or opportunity to further their real estate education due to tight schedules and long hours. This month Re/Max has brought the classroom to the home of every Re/Max agent around the world.
In one of the biggest educational initiatives in real estate history, Re/Max University, a multi-media educational centre, was recently officially launched by Re/Max international chairman and co-founder Dave Liniger.
Re/Max University is available to Re/Max associates and franchise owners via the access of MainStreet. MainStreet (www.remax.net) is an internal Website accessible only by Re/Max affiliates.
Agents and franchise owners find latest company news, a Web roster for exchanging ideas and referring customers, downloads of training manuals and marketing material, and an e-marketplace.
Re/Max University training programmes are available in three methods: in the classroom, on the Re/Max Satellite Network (available also online), or through the Internet, where agents can choose topics that they are interested in and stream videos, podcasts, and download files that are created by industry experts, such as Brian Buffini (www.buffiniandcompany.com) and Richard Robbins (www.richardrobbins.com), as well as other top-producing Re/Max affiliates.
Online training is split in two sections, namely Agent Training on Demand (ATOD) and Management Training on Demand (MTOD). ATOD channels include Focus (hot topics updated weekly), Business Best Practices, Teams, Technology, and Coaching. MTOD channels include Focus, the Re/Max office (office tours and relevant downloads), Class Express, Regional Directory, Case Studies, Coaches, and Recruit/Retain.
According to Jeff Buttigieg, regional director for Malta, "this initiative just shows the Re/Max commitment to customer service and professionalism. Training on Demand will be a good source of guidance for our associates and franchise owners alike. Both will have the opportunity to use this tool to help improve their skills and provide a better service to the end consumer."
Mr Buttigieg also said that during June Re/Max Malta would once again be conducting real estate specific training. "We shall be organising a three-day associate training as well as franchise owner/manager training. Edwin Markus, director of training in the Netherlands and trainer for Re/Max Europe will be conducting the training this time around."
Mr Markus has vast experience as a real estate associate and multi-franchise owner.
