Striker Michael Owen returns to the international fold today in an England B game and coach Steve McClaren hopes he will be the answer to his goal-scoring problems.

The game against Albania is Owen's first international appearance since suffering a serious knee injury in last year's World Cup and if he comes through it he could be called up for the senior squad's Euro 2008 qualifier against Estonia in June.

"There are so many games I can recall that we have missed Michael Owen when he's not there," McClaren told reporters yesterday.

"We've missed the player that puts the ball in the back of the net and wins you football matches."
