Two remanded in custody

A 29-year-old man was yesterday charged with burglary from a Balzan house and breaking into a car while a 32-year-old man was charged with handling the stolen items.

Kenneth Borg, of Rabat, was charged with stealing over Lm1,000 worth of items from the house and stealing a laptop, valued at over Lm100, from a car.

Bradley-Reno Sapiano, also of Rabat, was charged with handling the stolen items, the illegal possession of a firearm and relapsing.

Both men, who appeared before Magistrate Anthony Vella, pleaded not guilty to the charges and were remanded incustody.

Police Inspector Daniel Zammit prosecuted.

Lawyers Daniela Mangion and Noel Camilleri were defence counsel.
