Norway have recalled Manchester United striker Ole Gunnar Solskjaer after an injury lay-off and dropped goalkeeper Thomas Myhre from their squad for the Euro 2008 qualifiers against Malta and Hungary next month.

Myhre let a free-kick run through his legs against Turkey in March to give the Group C leaders a late equaliser.

"At this level, you can't make mistakes.

"We had an unpleasant experience last time," coach Aage Hareide said about his decision to drop Myhre, who is likely to be replaced by Brann keeper Haakon Opdal.

Norway host Malta on June 2 and Hungary four days later. Norway are level on seven points in Group C with Bosnia-Herzegovina, six points behind Turkey and five behind Greece.
