A copy of the Europa stamp artwork together with the original stamps of the Europa two-stamp set in a silver frame were recently presented to the Scouts Association of Malta by the Philatelic Bureau of Maltapost.
The presentation was made by Maltapost chief executive officer, Joseph Gafa'.
The stamps in the Europa issue depict the world chief scout, Lord Baden-Powell, on his last of several visits to Malta in 1937, with district commissioner Captain J.V. Abela and the Malta scout contingent marching past Queen Elisabeth II at the Golden Jubilee Jamboree, near Birmingham, in 1957.
The presentation, held at the Scout Association of Malta Island Headquarters in Floriana, was also attended by various commissioners and group scout leaders from the Scout Association itself led by the chief commissioner, Godwin D'Anastasi, and by other Maltapost officials.
