Pendergardens in St Julians will today launch the first phase of sales of its apartments on the local market.

The developers said a large range of one, two and three bedroom, highly finished and spacious apartments are on offer.

The 330 residential apartments are divided into various blocks that overlook the central piazza, the size of Pjazza Regina in Valletta, set on two tumoli of land, or the landscaped pedestrian streets.

They also have views over the low-rise, residential villas and surrounding gardens. The higher-level apartments will enjoy panoramic views of Spinola, Balluta Bay and beyond.

Finishes, by local interior designers, are in both contemporary and more traditional styles. The residential zone will be totally car free.

The prices start at Lm40,000 for the one bedroom finished apartments, Lm70,000 for the two bedroom and Lm90,000 for the three bedroom apartments.

The Pendergardens project has been controversial, opposed by a large number of residents in the surrounding area who complain that the height of the buildings is excessive.
