Traditional wedding re-enacted in Zurrieq

A bride and groom yesterday walked under a canopy to their wedding reception accompanied by traditional music in a re-enactment of a traditional Maltese wedding.
The ceremony, organised by the St Catherine Band Club of Zurrieq, saw well wishers - some wearing the traditional ghonnella - walk with the happy couple through the village's narrow, winding streets.
Along the way they met Maltese craftsmen plying their trade.
