Detlef Romberg, CEO MAN region, south of Europe, and Monika Weber, business development manager southern Europe, were in Malta last Monday to sign a contract, officially appointing Burmarrad Commercials Ltd official local MAN agents.
Mario Gauci Jr spoke of the company's ambitions and the dream to be a leader in Malta in the importing and selling of vehicles, plus a one-stop vehicle service centre. This has become a reality, along with the marketing of cars, 4x4 vehicles and a competitively priced renting and leasing service.
"I am very confident that the new partnership with MAN will be mutually beneficial," he said.
Mr Romberg gave an overview of the MAN group and its current performance, concluding that 2007 looked like being another record year.
Two MAN commercial vehicles were imported for the launch. The TGA 26.400 refrigerated truck, powered by a 400 bhp six-
cylinder turbodiesel matched with a 12-speed ZF automatic gearbox. The 26-ton truck has a 4,500 + 1,350 mm wheelbase and is highly specified in all areas.
The TGA 41.480 tipper truck has a 1,795 + 2,505 + 1,400 mm wheelbase. It has an even more powerful 480 bhp engine with a similar specification to the truck and is similarly highly specified.
MAN make a complete range of commercial vehicles, buses and special purpose vehicles. For more information, visit Burmarrad Commercials.
