We are receiving various letters from readers about scam lotteries. On a positive note I am encouraged by the fact that the respective 'winners' are not falling for them and, rather than throw them in the bin, send them to me to keep other consumers informed.

At this stage, people are well aware that these are scams and don't fall for them. Indeed, we have never received letters from winners, and I dare say we will not.

However, if there are people who did fall for them, as I have already written in previous columns, I recommend that you write about the experience without naming the person/persons involved.

Such cases would be well worth featuring, with a particular focus on how much money the respective 'winners' were asked to pay to have their 'winnings' processed.
