The council of the Institute of Maltese Journalists yesterday met Archbishop Paul Cremona at the Archbishop's Curia, Floriana.

The agenda of the meeting included the media's relations with the Catholic Church in a pluralist society.

Institute chairman Malcolm J. Naudi praised Mgr Cremona for his accessibility to the media in the weeks following his appointment and augured that the Curia would be more open to the means of social communication.

On his part, Mgr Cremona urged the media to be more honest in the way it communicates the Church's message without imposing its agenda. He expressed his willingness to continue his dialogue with the media as he has done so far.
