The 17th edition in the series of exhibitions organised by Bank of Valletta, featuring 86 works by Victor Diacono, will be opened on May 25 at the bank's centre, in Sta Venera.

Born in 1915, Mr Diacono studied at the School of Art from 1929 to 1937 under Antonio Micallef and George Borg. In 1937 he won a six-year scholarship and started his studies in Rome, under Angelo Zanelli. In 1940, he returned to Malta because of the outbreak of World War II. He continued his studies in the UK between 1947 and 1950.

The exhibition is curated by Gabriel Pellegrini. A fully illustrated catalogue and a biographical synopsis of the artist will accompany the exhibition.
