The Swiss-Maltese Chamber of Commerce (SMCC) in collaboration with the Malta Chamber of Commerce and Enterprise is organising an evening seminar on "Wind Energy - a viable alternative?" on Wednesday, June 13 at The Exchange in Valletta.
Eng. Reinhard Mallon will be delivering the keynote speech.
He hails from Nordenham in Northern Germany and worked as an advisor to innovation companies in Eastern Germany, anticipating the importance of the new market generated by the reunification of Germany.
In 1994 he set up a commercial agency for renewable energies and drive engineering followed in 1996 by the creation of the win:pro Ingenieurbüro, an energy group now setting up wind farms all over Europe.
Its activities have also extended to solar energy and biogas.
In 2004 Reinhard Mallon started getting involved in general aviation and set up the second win:pro pillar: "win:pro air group".
