Posters on marine biodiversity

Bicref, the Biological Conservation Research Foundation, an environmental NGO working to promote research and conservation of biodiversity, has produced three educational posters for secondary schools to promote the International Day for Biological Diversity on May 22. They were prepared with the assistance of HSBC-Earthwatch.

This year's theme for the day is Biodiversity And Climate Change. The posters, which focus on our sea, its biodiversity, dolphins and Bicref's work, promote conservation values and awareness for biodiversity research and protection.

Bicref has worked to raise awareness of the threats to vulnerable marine species from over-fishing, sewage, fish farms, tuna penning, coastal developments, toxic run-off from land, sound disturbances and lights.
