Sliema's Bajada BOV Player of the Month for April

Sliema Wanderers midfielder Roderick Bajada has won the BOV Player of the Month award for April.

He was presented with the trophy by Michael Galea, Head of Marketing and Communication at Bank of Valletta, in the presence of Louis Micallef, Deputy General Secretary of the Malta FA.

A Malta FA statement said Bajada has chosen St Rita's Home in Tarxien as the charitable institution to benefit from the donation associated with this award.

Small in stature, Bajada possesses unbounded reserves of energy which enable him to cover acres of ground, covering and winning possession one moment, and serving a team-mate with a defence-splitting pass the next.

His versatility also extends to an eye for goal, which is mirrored in some goals he scored for his team throughout the season.

Bajada is currently part of the Malta squad. He has shown consistency throughout the year not the least in recent matches where he has helped his injury-ridden team regain some confidence, which was lacking in the early stages of this year's BOV Premier League.
