Acclaimed violinist for Bir Miftuh concert

The second concert in the International Bir Miftuh Music Festival organised by Din l-Art Helwa will be a violin recital by Francesco D'Orazio.

The concert will feature works by Bach, Berio, Paganini, Bellafronte, dall'Ongaro and Ysaye.

It will take place at the mediaeval Santa Marija Church of Bir Miftuh, close to Malta International Airport, on May 26 at 8 p.m. The church dates to 1450.

Mr D'Orazio has given concerts with renowned orchestras all over Europe, the US, China, Japan, Peru, Mexico and Turkey. He is acclaimed by the international press for his ability to mesmerise audiences worldwide with his intense and passionate performances.

All proceeds go towards Din l-Art Helwa's restoration projects. The concert is sponsored by the Italian Cultural Institute.
