PN to fund trees

The Nationalist Party said yesterday it would make a donation for further tree planting at Mellieha following last week's vandalism.

The party said it wanted to convey the message to vandals that they would not get anywhere.

The PN has already been involved in the 34U campaign. Last September it launched a scheme under which it donated a tree for every life party membership.

In September, some membership funds were used for the donation of 100 trees that were planted at Ta' Qali. The party urged other organisations and individuals to become involved in the tree-planting programme.
