Information Systems Control, Security and Audit
This course, run by Malta University Services Ltd, tutored by George Cassola, is specifically aimed at auditors of information systems, accountants and business executives using computerised information systems, and IT practitioners involved in the development of Business Information Systems.
It will focus on the problems of keeping IT systems secure from error or abuse, whether internal or external, and will also examine how controls can be designed, within the systems and around them, to achieve their optimum security and integrity.
This 30-hour programme will commence on Monday, May 14, and lectures will be delivered every Monday and Wednesday evening.
Internal QMS Auditer
The objective of this two-day course is to provide participants with the necessary knowledge and skills to carry out internal audits of their organisations' quality management system to ISO 9001.
This IRCA-registered course ensures that the internal audit process is a value-adding activity which not only evaluates the performance and effectiveness of the QMS, but also identifies where improvements can be made.
Corporate Social Responsibility
The objective of this new course is to provide an overview of corporate social responsibility (CSR) and introduce some CSR-related national and international guidelines and standards, discuss their relevance to the organisations and the potential impact on their suppliers and sub-contractors.
It is aimed at quality managers, environmental managers and all those individuals within organisations who are starting to get involved in CSR or are interested in developing their knowledge of CSR in order to investigate their relevance and application of this subject to their organisations.
This will start on May 16.
Process Design and Performance
This is a two-day course aimed at helping delegates understand the basics of process design and analysis and how to develop a systematic approach to performance improvement as applied to all aspects of business processes.
It is beneficial for directors, managers, process owners, quality practitioners and consultants committed to improving business processes.
Seminars will be led by Nina Abbassi, B.Sc. (Hons), FCQI, and IRCA-registered lead auditor.
The Competent Manager
MUS is launching a new 18-hour intensive programme on the role of managers, covering such fields as Change Management, HRM, Marketing, Financial and Operations Management.
