GasanMamo Insurance appoints new director

GasanMamo Insurance Ltd has appointed Martin R.F. Wonfor as a full member of the board of directors of the company.

"With his background and vast experience in financial services, Mr Wonfor will offer a much added value to the board of GasanMamo Insurance Ltd and will definitely combine well with the expertise already present," Joseph A. Gasan, chairman of GasanMamo Insurance, said.

"The company places particular emphasis on the contribution that members bring to the board to ensure that there is the right mix of disciplines required to direct its affairs."

After graduating in Economics, Mr Wonfor qualified as an accountant with Deloitte Plender Griffiths & Co., and in 1969 entered the financial services world in the City. In 1988, he joined Cazenove & Co., moving on to becoming a partner and, on incorporation from a partnership to a private limited company, a main board director.

He retired from the company in September 2003. A British citizen, Mr Wonfor, who is married to Madeleine and has two children, lives in London.
