Mifsud nets Coventry's best goal of the season award

Michael Mifsud capped his first five months as a Coventry City player by picking up the club's goal of the season award.

Mifsud accumulated the largest number of votes in a poll among club fans for his excellent solo effort in his team's 2-1 defeat to Sheffield Wednesday at the Hillsborough last month.

The 26-year-old Malta forward joined the English Championship side on a two-and-a-half-year contract in January after leaving Norwegian side Lillestrom on a free transfer. He has made 12 league appearances for the Sky Blues this season scoring four goals, only five less than club's top scorer Dele Adebola who netted nine times.

Goalkeeper Andy Marshall scooped the club's player of the year award after an excellent first season in the Coventry goal.

Marcus Hall received the Players' player of the season award while Isaac Osbourne was named young player of the season for the second time.
