A police dog was injured when he fell from a second storey window at the law courts yesterday.

Scott, a Labrador with the rank of a sergeant, luckily suffered minor injuries, the police said.

The police said the incident happened when the army and the police dog section went to the law courts to carry out a security search.

During the search, Sergeant Scott jumped onto a window sill but miscalculated and fell into a yard two storeys below.

The dog was rushed to a vet where it turned out that he was suffering from minor injuries and had no broken bones, the police said.

He was taken back home to the dog section.
