Accused of filing false report

A man was yesterday charged with filing a false police report in which he allegedly claimed that money was stolen from his two sons after he took the cash.

Magistrate Doreen Clarke heard Emanuel Azzopardi, 55, plead not guilty to filing the false report and relapsing on January 26. Police Inspector Nezren Grixti prosecuted.

Lawyer Roberto Montalto represented Mr Azzopardi.
