Booking Malta hotels online

The website www.ChooseMalta.com has launched what it says is the first specific Malta hotels online affiliation programme.

While such programmes are common in e-commerce, this one has been specifically designed for Malta hotels and is operated by a local office, Jonathan Shaw, sales director for Inspire Ltd, which owns and manages the site, said.

Hotel affiliation programmes provide opportunities to website owners to earn extra revenue from hotel bookings, generated by customers who start the booking process from their website. It is a fast-growing segment of hotel reservations via the internet.

The website has a real-time booking system with rates and availability of over 70 hotels. A foreigner interested in booking a hotel can enter the dates for his visit, check availability, compare rates and book online.

Affiliates get a copy of the booking voucher instantly upon confirmation. They also have access to back-end reports they can access and generate to view bookings and revenue generated, Mr Shaw said as to how affiliate members can trace bookings and revenue earned.

The company's secure online system is available in four languages, multi-currency and is simple to use and navigate, he said.
