The Forum Zghazagh Laburisti said that in different circumstances 49 years ago, Maltese youths had decided to fight for their rights.

Many years have passed, but this did not mean that the youths did not have a number of challenges to face.

In a statement to mark the anniversary of the April 28, 1958 riots, the Forum said that housing was among the foremost challenges.

The exaggerated cost of property was putting much pressure on young people who were finding it extremely difficult to cope. Which is why, the Forum pointed out, there was a need for a government that took social housing seriously.
