On April 15 I found a flyer from BirdLife in your newspaper calling on the people to occupy the countryside on the pretext that this is Government land.

I remember a public park at Simar, Xemxija Bay which the government, then soon to be voted out of power, gave to BirdLife to fence in as a bird reserve denying thousands of people of a popular picnic site and turning it into a preserve for rats who happily hunt the roosting birds by night.

Are BirdLife now inviting the people to picnic there and at the Ghadira reserve?
