• The Lace-Making Programme at the University of Malta Gozo Centre, Xewkija, is holding its annual Gozo Lace Day today. There will be exhibitions and demonstrations. Entrance in free.

• The 44th congress of the Holy Name Society is being held at Ghajnsielem parish today. Bishop Mario Grech leads a concelebrated Mass at 8.30 a.m. with the participation of the Lauretana choir, under the direction of Lelio Spiteri. The Mass will be broadcast live on RTK radio. A procession, with the participation of the St Joseph Band, leaves Apparition Square at 5.30 p.m. A variety show will be held on Loreto Square at 6 p.m., introduced by archpriest Fr Frankie Bajada. There will be a mime by parish children, and a speech by two local youths who are to meet Pope Benedict in Loreto on September 1 and 2, an address by Bishop Grech and Sacramental blessing. The Lauretana, St Anthony and other choirs will participate. The programme will be broadcast live on Radju Marija.

• The Imperial Gozo Yacht Club is holding the second Round Cominotto Laser Races, sponsored by Ghajnsielem council, today at 1 p.m. For more information visit www.igyc.info.

• Night at the Museum is showing at the Don Bosco Oratory, Victoria, today at 6 p.m.
