Atlas Insurance recently launched a new promotion in conjunction with the popular TV show 118 (PBS, Tuesdays and Thursdays at 6.50 p.m.), where all those who take out a new home policy will also receive a free copy of one of a range of local cookery books, aimed at promoting Maltese cuisine.
Until next month, Atlas will be giving out one of three books by well-known Maltese chefs with all new home insurances. The books include The Cookery of the Maltese Islands by Anne and Helen Caruana Galizia, and A Year in the Country and Tisjir biz-Zejt taz-Zebbuga by Matty Cremona.
Viewers who tune in to 118 also have the chance of winning a meal for two at Rubino's in Valletta, by giving the correct reply in the Atlas SMS competition every week.
During the show, four representatives of Atlas Insurance will be interviewed by 118 host John Demanuele about various aspects of home insurance, giving hints and tips for viewers about security, water damage, and fire and electricity hazards in the house. These educational slots will also feature explanations of the basic features of this type of insurance, the valuation of home contents as well as claims procedures.
"We feel it is important to support the promotion of Maltese cuisine and chefs as part of our corporate social responsibility. It is definitely a cuisine to be proud of, as evidenced in the amazing leap in quality of the local product over the past few years.
"We are also proud to work in conjunction with 118's professional team," said Jackie Attard Montalto, Atlas Insurance marketing manager.
