Shosholoza notched their fifth win in the Louis Vuitton Cup with a dramatic victory over France's Areva Challenge yesterday.

The South African team were in trouble after breaking a spinnaker before fighting back strongly to cross the finish line a few metres behind the French.

But Shosholoza were awarded victory because Areva had failed to clear a mark when carrying out a penalty turn in the final metres.

Shosholoza moved up to seventh in the 11-team standings. The eventual winners take on holders Alinghi for the America's Cup in June.

Lack of wind caused the postponement of six races yesterday.

BMW Oracle, the only team with a 100 per cent winning record, are scheduled to take on Emirates Team New Zealand and Spain's Desafio Espanol today.
