A full development application to construct apartments, commercial premises and parking on the previous Les Lapins Hotel site at the Ta' Xbiex seafront was yesterday approved by the Malta Environment and Planning Authority.

The total floor space covers 29,000 metres.

The permit to demolish the existing hotel was granted in May 2006.
