A prisoner in custody on suspicion of murder is expected to be charged in court after drugs were allegedly found in his cell.

A sachet containing heroin was allegedly found on the window sill of his prison cell on Monday, police sources said. The prisoner is already undergoing court proceedings after drugs were allegedly found in his cell on another occasion.

Police Inspector Frans Micallef is conducting investigations.
